Wearing...

...my designated job-interview outfit. Of course, the resumé isn't ready, and I haven't been cruising the job sites lately. Last day in present job is July 6; it's a little too soon to jobhunt seriously. Besides, if I think about it I become painfully disengaged from the present moment at work. Like right now. Just wanna go home and hide under the bed.

Pertinent horror story from library patron. They are trying to identify pueblo pots they used to own: moving van burned up between here and California and they lost everything...

MB... Did you happen to see the May issue of Harper's? There was an interesting "library" story in it: http://harpers.org/archive/2007/05/0081511

Yes, I saw it. Got all excited for a second that you had given me something for the library blog--all my friends are 'one of our readers' when they tell me something usable :)

But in fact I posted about that one already http://snipurl.com/1lkgk

Hope you don't mind, I've been playing with our template. I added, in fact, a link to my workplace blog, as an excellent indicator of some of the things I'm thinking about, as it's all me all the time, chirpy voice-of-the-library fiction notwithstanding. And I put labels on all my previous posts, so I could install a label-cloud script I found on the web. I've been wanting for a year solid to somehow be the proprietor of a tag cloud...

Label your posts and they'll appear in the cloud like magic...

So do you have a reading news update?

Sorry it wasn't something new... I'll try to be more topical in future. ;~)

It's been a busy week, which is why I'm so late responding. Nothing new that I can think of in the reading department. However, I did buy a copy of Christopher Hitchens' new book for my daughter so she could have him sign it after we saw him Tuesday evening at the library.

Anything you want to do with the template, format, etc., if okay by me. I have enough of stuff like that to think about, and it's a good thing to link to library blogs. Especially yours.
